Die Sage vom St. Valentiner Kirchenbau
Auf einem Hügel in Altenhofen, wo heute der Hallerhof steht, sollte ursprünglich eine Kirche gebaut werden.
Als die Arbeiter zu bauen beginnen wollten, verschwanden jedoch die Baugeräte und Werkzeuge auf unerklärliche Weise. In der Nähe des Erlabachs fand man die Baugeräte wieder. Man ließ das Werkzeug weihen und danach versuchten sie mehrmals die Kirche an dem ursprünglich geplanten Ort zu bauen. Jedoch hatten sie keinen Erfolg, da die Baugeräte immer wieder und wieder verschwanden.
Zuerst dachte man, dass der Teufel ihnen einen Streich spielen wollte, doch irgendwann erkannte man, dass es nicht der Teufel war, sondern dass Gott sich den Platz für seine Kirche selbst aussuchte.
Seither steht die Kirche am Hauptplatz von St. Valentin.

The Legend of Building the Church of St. Valentin
Long time ago a church was supposed to be built on a hill in St. Valentin. Everything was prepared and the workers were ready to start. But there was something unusual going on.
Once they had started working, the tools and the equipment went missing in an unexplainable way. No one knew what was going on. Then the tools were found at a different place.
A worker thought that it was a prank of the ‘evil enemy’, the devil. However, they took the tools, consecrated them, and started working on the building again. But the same game just kept repeating itself again and again. The things kept going missing.
Then, the builders were enlightened, and they finally realised that the ‘Lord God’ himself had chosen where his new home was going to be at. They built it there.
To this day the church is still located there, and this is the story of the church of St. Valentin.
